After Construction



The Moreno Valley Freeway (SR-60) runs east and west through the communities of Riverside and Moreno Valley. It is an important transportation route for the movement of people, goods and services through various counties. Recognizing the importance of SR-60 Nason Street’s economic role, the City of Moreno Valley, is investing ten million dollars in on-and off-ramp improvements. The project is estimated to be completed on late March 2012.

Improvements Include:

  • Reconstructing and realigning Nason Street on-and off-ramps to State Route 60 (SR-60)
  • New auxiliary lanes at SR-60 eastbound on-ramp and westbound off-ramp
  • Installing traffic signals at the new Nason Street on and off-ramp intersections
  • New sidewalk on the west side of Nason Street
  • New bikeway on the west side of Nason Street
  • New ramp meters
  • Underground Utility Lines

Project Benefits Include:

  • Enhance freeway access
  • Improve overall traffic circulation
  • Design accommodates Nason Street future bridge widening

Construction Estimated Cost: $10 million

Project Funding:

  • Measure A funds
  • TEA 21 Demonstration Funds
  • Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) funds
  • Surface Transportation Program Funds (STP)

    Moreno Valley—The City of Moreno Valley’s contractor will close the Moreno Valley freeway (SR-60) westbound Nason Street on–ramp as part of a $10 million improvement project. Crews will remove existing asphalt, prepare the roadway, place new asphalt and stripe the new westbound SR-60 Nason Street on-ramp.
